I was working in the lab, late one night.
When my eyes beheld an eerie sight.
Monsters and heroes out on the street
They were going to the Lions Club Trunk or Treat!
They did the Mash! (The Monster Mash) It was a Trunk or Treat Smash!
From 5 til 7 they did descend, to the Johnston Lions Club Lot
6501 Merle Hay Road, Johnston - in case you've forgot.
The scene was rockin', all were digging the sounds
It was the D.J. 's music that had them baying like hounds
They did the Mash! (The Monster Mash) It was a Trunk or Treat Smash!
Now it all happens TONIGHT on All Hallows Eve
Come see us for fun and candy to retrieve!

Once upon a autumn dreary, while Johnstonians pondered weak and weary.
Over many a quaint and curious collection of events to attend,
the Halloween Season is almost at an end.

While we nodded nearly napping, The Johnston Lions Club sprang, to Trunk or Treat us send!
Come Saturday - October 31st from 5:00 to 7:00, to the Johnston Lions Club Parking lot descend.

Dress as you might, come with your hands to extend,
We have many a treat but no tricks in the end.
Should the weather be dreary and rainy and pours, fear not, we'll move it indoors!
BUT, this night of frightful fun ignore, suffer the disappointment forever more.
(Apologies to Mr. Poe and all ravens.)

Mark your calendars, This Thursday - August 20 - is BINGO NIGHT!
The Johnston Lions Club is hosting our 1st BINGO Night in 2026.

August 20, 6:00 to approximately 8:00.

We have had a great time meeting you at these fun Family Friendly Events.
We have seen families with kids, couples, groups of friends, and mixes of family and friends attend and have a great time.
Before you come with your whole gang you need to remember
* Bring your cash - no bills over $20.00
* Bring your family and friends, and
* Leave your ink daubers at home. We aren't like that.
* Get a BINGO card or CARDS for $10.00 each use the same cards all evening. If they don't feel lucky, you can exchange them between games.
* We'll also have a 50/50 Raffle - $5.00 for 1 ticket, $10.00 for 3 tickets.

Next BINGO night is a month away Thursday September 17 - 6:00 to 8:00
Our proceeds will go BACK into Johnston Schools, Library, charitable partners like Johnston Partnership for for a Healthy Community, stocking a Little Food Pantry, and more such as Transporting eye tissues, sending kids to Camp Courageous, and supporting Leader Dogs for the Blind. The list goes on and on. But only with your help.

Did someone say BINGO?! YES!! We did!

The Johnston Lions Club is back in the BINGO business with regular and braille BINGO cards!

August 20th - starting at 6:00. The doors open at 5:00

We are accepting cash only. You get as many BINGO cards as you'd like for $10.00 each. They are the kind you can use all night. So leave your dobbers at home.

Snacks and drinks are available to purchase during the event.
