Due to the continued heat and high heat index 🥵, JYS is once again cancelling all games and practices this evening, Thursday 9/3. 😔

U6 games that were cancelled last night and tonight will be rescheduled for later in the season. Coaches will have more information soon.

You’ll notice some new signage at the fields. Please remember that fans should sit on the sideline opposite of the players benches. This gives our players, coaches, and officials the space they need to play their game.

Soccer Sundays are BACK! ⚽🥳

Our U8-U12 leagues kick off with their first games on Sunday 8/23. Please keep these things in mind as you make your way to the fields:

❎ NO PETS OR ANIMALS ALLOWED at Schroeder Complex per the City of Jasper rules posted at the entrance to our facility.

🚗 Allow plenty of time before your game/warm up to arrive at the field. Parking can be an issue, especially at early games. There are typically enough parking spots, they just may not be as close to the field as you'd like them to be. Park in DESIGNATED SPOTS ONLY. Do not park along the entrances/exits to the lot. Carpooling is highly encouraged, especially if grandma is planning to be there all day with you anyways 😉

📣 Fans are to sit on the sideline OPPOSITE of the player benches. Please do not sit along the goal lines/behind the goals. For our U10-U12 age groups, make sure to give room for the referees to move along the sideline and for players to do throw ins and take corner kicks.

🥰 Be kind! Be kind to our volunteer coaches, board members, concession workers, other parents, players, and referees. Our referees are mostly middle and high school age kids who love the game of soccer. We are all here to have FUN and to learn. To our knowledge there will be no college or MLS/NWSL scouts at the game. 🙂

🚨**REMINDER FOR REFEREES**🚨

The call out meeting for referees wanting to work during our 2026 fall season will be Sunday, August 23, 2026 at 11:00 am at Schroeder Soccer Complex. Meet at the concession stand.

As we lead up to that date, you can do these things to prepare:

✅ Make sure you can login to your GotSport account. This is where you will receive and accept assignments

✅ Make sure you have all parts of your uniform and equipment. You need your uniform, a whistle, flags, and a watch that has a stopwatch function. YOU CANNOT USE YOUR PHONE!

✅ Check your availability for the weeks of 8/23 - 10/11 and blackout the days you are not available on your GotSport calendar

✅ Watch your email for a message from Brandon Aders, our ref assignor. If you do not get one, we can add you to his list at the call out meeting.

✅ Referees are usually not assigned every weekend. If you do not get assigned games for the first week, 8/23, it’s ok! You’ll get some the next week!
