Jasper FFA Chapter

10/17/2026

On October 1st, seven members competed in the Southwest Region Soils Judging CDE in Daviess County. Members identified soil textures, parent material, drainage, and slope. They also assessed the home or agricultural uses for the land that they evaluated.

Results are as follows:

⭐️7th Place Senior Team & State Qualifier - Lucy Linette, Luke Popp, Jace Wagner, and Lilly Wagner

⭐️4th Place Junior Team & State Qualifier - Maddie Popp, Ava Greenwell, and TJ Block

Shout out to Maddie Popp for placing 3rd individually in the Junior Division!

On September 9th, eleven members competed in the Southwest Region Livestock Skillathon CDE. Members identified breeds, meat cuts, and equipment. They also completed a knowledge and quality assurance assessment.

Results are as follows:

🥈2nd Place Junior Team & State Qualifier - Sarah Wehr, Traycen Haase, Ava Greenwell, and Avery Senninger.

⭐️8th Place Junior Team - Brynn Buechlein, Urban Buechlein, and Maddie Popp

⭐️17th Place Senior Team - Lilly Wagner, Jalyn Lopez, Jaclynn Shumaker, and Nalanie Buechlein.

Individual Results are as follows:

🥉3rd Place Junior Individual - Sarah Wehr
⭐️4th Place Junior Individual - Traycen Haase

The sign up deadline has been extended until Monday!

We are excited to bring back our Meals in the Fields service project again this year!

Farmers are the backbone of the agricultural community and we are looking forward to serving our Dubois County Farmers warm meals as harvest season continues! You can request for meals to be delivered by filling out this Google Form: https://forms.gle/nFk8LnSbnbn86hVy8

If you are having trouble with the form, feel free to reach out to any Jasper FFA member, advisor, or our social media pages to get signed up!

Not sure where you are going to be on October 8th? No problem! - In the interest form we ask for a good phone number to contact you so that we can deliver your meal to you on that day!

Hope to be done with harvest by October 8th? Not a problem! - We will still deliver to shops and/or porches!

Please share with those that you think might be interested! Requests are due by Friday, October 2nd so that we can make sure that we have enough materials for everyone!
