Looking for a little sweetness to brighten your days? Meet Lemon Drop! 🍋 This precious Maltese gentleman is proof that the sweetest things in life come in small, fluffy packages.
Lemon Drop is happiest when he’s being held, snuggled up beside his favorite person, or simply hanging out nearby. If you’re looking for a companion who wants to be your little shadow, this boy is ready for the job! 🥹❤️ And when he falls asleep with his tiny tongue peeking out the side of his mouth? Absolutely ADORABLE. We’re pretty sure it’s impossible not to smile at that face!
He gets along with cats and other dogs, enjoys lounging outside, and has mastered the doggy door like a pro! He navigates outdoor steps without any trouble, too. This little man has some independence in him, even if he’d much rather spend most of his time close to his people.
Mealtime is another one of Lemon Drop’s favorite activities. 😂 Let’s just say this boy does NOT mess around when dinner is served! He’s an enthusiastic little foodie.
Lemon Drop also completed 10 weeks of the Puppies for Parole training program where he learned basic commands. 🎓
Now, beneath that confident little personality is a tender heart that’s still learning to trust. Sometimes when someone reaches down to pet him, he pancakes right onto the floor. 🥺 He may look like he’s trying to become one with the carpet, but he’s still learning that gentle hands mean kindness and love. With patience, reassurance, and a little time, he’s making progress!
He isn’t a huge fan of being in his kennel, although he’s getting better. When he comes out, he may briefly flatten himself against the floor before hopping right back up and walking or running normally. He just needs someone who understands that confidence can take time to grow.
