June is PTSD Awareness Month.
Not all scars are visible.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can affect anyone—veterans, first responders, survivors of abuse, accidents, violence, natural disasters, loss, and other traumatic experiences. While the wounds may not be seen on the outside, they are very real.
PTSD can show up as:
▪️ Anxiety or panic
▪️ Flashbacks or nightmares
▪️ Difficulty sleeping
▪️ Avoiding people, places, or situations
▪️ Feeling constantly on edge
▪️ Depression or emotional numbness
Healing is possible, and no one should have to face it alone.
At SEMO SP, we want to remind our community that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Whether you’re struggling yourself or supporting someone you love, compassion and understanding can make a difference.
If you or someone you know is struggling, reach out. Help is available.
