What a night! We had a blast at the Abe Parker Music fundraising concert last Saturday. This event was organized by our friends from Union University's Lambda Chi Alpha, and we were honored to be the recipient of the funds raised! All the proceeds from this concert will go directly into feeding the community, and we thank Lambda Chi for their partnership in fighting hunger with us.

All aboard the Bus Stop Cafe! 🚌 Our bus will be hitting the road today to bring meals to kids who are on fall break this week. For many of these kids, school is their only opportunity to eat full meals, so we work to fill that gap when they're not in school. Visit the link in the comments to learn more about how the Bus Stop Cafe operates!

Good news for your Friday: our front office now has a door again!

We're ending this crazy week on a good note. Now that we have a temporary door, we are returning to regular operations today. That means visitors, volunteers, and those in need of food services can see us at our administrative offices again. The Choice Food Pantry is now open again, and Brianna and Annalise will be serving patrons until 4:00pm like normal.

Thank you to everyone who adapted so well to these challenging circumstances!

When you hear that RIFA only has 20 full-time employees, the 584,831 meals we distributed last year feels impossible. But did you know that a huge amount of RIFA's workflow comes from our dedicated volunteers? In 2025, our volunteers collectively put in the same amount of hours as ~14 full-time employees. That's over 28,000 hours! These volunteers come to us as individuals, families, groups, or organizations to join us in the fight against hunger. 💪

You may notice that our front entrance looks a little different today. Unfortunately, a car ran through the front of our building accidentally, causing damage to the entrance area.

The good news is no one was hurt and RIFA is still open and serving our community! We’ve adjusted our operations and access to the building while the repairs are being made.

If you're in need of assistance with food -- please come to the Soup Kitchen between 7am-1pm and see Annalise and Brianna. They will have pre-made food bags for you there. The Choice Pantry is not open during this time.

If you're scheduled to volunteer -- please come to the Thrift Store entrance and we will connect you with Tracie, our Volunteer Coordinator. If you are interested in volunteering, reach out to Tracie directly at [email protected] or call 731-427-7963 for more information.

If you're a visitor -- please call ahead so we can direct you to the right location when you arrive.

We will share updates here as needed, so please check back for the most up-to-date information. Thank you!
