Legal Services of Long Island - LSLI Dedicated to helping low-income Long Islanders in crisis access justice.

Legal Services of Long Island (LSLI), formerly Nassau Suffolk Law Services, is a leading non-profit organization committed to providing free legal services to vulnerable individuals and families throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties. Since 1966, we’ve been dedicated to ensuring that Long Island’s most at-risk populations—such as low-income residents, disabled individuals, the elderly, domestic vi

olence survivors, and veterans—receive the legal help they need, even when they cannot afford it. At LSLI, we specialize in various areas of law to protect the rights and dignity of Long Islanders:

Housing law: Fighting evictions, helping prevent homelessness, and advocating for those facing foreclosure. Disability advocacy: Assisting clients with disability rights claims, ensuring they receive the services and benefits they are entitled to. Family law: Supporting families in crises with legal issues including custody, child support, and orders of protection. Public benefits: Helping eligible individuals access crucial benefits like Medicaid, Social Security, and SNAP.
