We started the morning celebrating Juneteenth with the Hamilton Park Community — sharing joy, connection, and family.

Then we spent the afternoon in downtown Dallas passing out ice cream treats and clothing to our unhoused neighbors. Their gratitude, their stories, and their strength made the day even more meaningful.

A full day of love, service, and community. This is what Juneteenth is all about.

On Thursday evening, we passed out pizza, soft drinks, and treats to our unhoused neighbors in downtown Dallas. The gratitude was real, the conversations were warm, and the kindness was mutual.

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect — a soft breeze, a beautiful sunset, a calm spring night.

But then the reality hit: while the volunteers would head back to their homes, many of the people we served would be spending yet another night on the streets, with everything they own gathered at their feet.

Take a moment to appreciate what you have, in whatever season you’re in. There are people who would give anything to be in your place.
