Come learn some blending board basics! It's not just for rolags!
Learn basic use and techniques of a blending board from one of its designers! In 2011, Henry and Roy Clemes created a new tool that became the wildly popular Blending Board. This hands-on class will not only demonstrate the versatility of the blending board - blending fibers of various types, lengths, and colors - but also the strength of the blending board - quickly preparing fiber as rolags for woolen spinning. All blending will be done on Clemes & Clemes Blending Boards with each student using their own board. All materials, boards, and tools will be provided by the instructor.

Think blending boards are just for making pretty rolags? Think again.
Join us for Blending Board Basics, a hands-on workshop designed to help fiber artists discover the versatility of the tool we created in 2011—the Clemes & Clemes Blending Board. Since its introduction, it has become a favorite among spinners for blending fibers of different types, lengths, and colors with ease.
In this interactive class, you'll learn the fundamental techniques of blending on a blending board while exploring how different fibers and color combinations work together. You'll also discover how quickly and efficiently a blending board can prepare fiber as rolags for woolen spinning.
Each student will work on their own blending board, gaining practical experience and confidence with the tool. All materials, boards, and tools are provided, so you can focus on experimenting, creating, and learning new skills.
Whether you're new to blending boards or looking to refine your technique, this workshop will give you the knowledge and inspiration to make the most of this versatile fiber preparation tool.
