Auditions for Bang, Bang, You’re Dead will be held on July 11 and are open to all interested performers (teen and adult). To audition, please complete the registration form on our website (visit the show's page) to reserve your audition slot. Once your submission has been received, you will receive a confirmation email with your assigned audition time.

All auditioners should prepare and perform a dramatic monologue (preferably contemporary) of their choosing. Monologues should be memorized and showcase your ability to connect emotionally with the material. Additional details regarding callbacks, rehearsal schedules, and performance dates will be provided at auditions.

Our teens continue to amaze us.

Not only are they putting in the work on their own productions this summer, but many of our more seasoned students have stepped into something even bigger: mentorship.

This summer, they’ve taken an active role in supporting our Winnie the Pooh Summer Theatre Camp for Kids — leading theatre games to teach improv skills, demonstrating storytelling techniques through performance exercises, and helping create the props, sets, and costume pieces that are bringing the Hundred Acre Wood to life.

These students are balancing multiple productions, rehearsals, and responsibilities — and still choosing to pour their time and energy into the next generation of performers.

This is what leadership looks like.

It’s one thing to grow as an artist. It’s another to turn around and help someone else grow, too.

We couldn’t be more proud of these young people and the culture they’re helping build here at Twistid Arts Initiative.

There’s a lot more happening behind the scenes of Winnie the Pooh than meets the eye.

The lights. The sound. The live sound effects that bring the Hundred Acre Wood to life.

They’re all being designed and run by our students.

At Twistid Arts Initiative, we believe theatre education goes far beyond what happens under the spotlight. Our students aren’t just performers — they’re technicians, designers, problem-solvers, and collaborators.

While the audience sees the magic, our students are learning the skills that make it possible.

Last week's Summer Theatre Camp was a blast! The students worked on blocking the first half of the show, they created show lobby banners for our guests, and even helped design and create masks for their show costumes! We also spent some time working on improv games to further our acting skills, learning theatre terminology, and practicing our stage directions!

We've had so much fun preparing for our upcoming show - and we're looking forward to making more progress on Winnie the Pooh this week! Stay tuned for more updates.

We are incredibly grateful to the **Citrus County Charitable Foundation** for awarding Twistid Arts Initiative a $5,000 grant in support of our Summer Theatre Programs for kids and teens.

This funding helps us keep meaningful arts education accessible for local students — providing opportunities to build confidence, learn new skills, work as a team, and spend their summer creating something they can be proud of.

Support like this makes a real difference for the young people we serve, and we are thankful to have community partners who believe in the value of this work.
