Aunt Sarah sent us this photo yesterday - one we’ve seen before, but never quite like this. This time, we noticed her shirt: “change the world.” Back in 2022, no one could have known just how powerful those words would become. But now, four years later, we see it so clearly.

Mai, you are changing the world.

Through your story, hearts are opened. Through your name, critical research is funded.

Your impact didn’t end - it multiplied. And we will keep carrying it forward, every single day 💛

We are honored to announce the recipient of The Maia James Sarcoma Innovation Grant💛

This grant is awarded in honor of our Maia, whose strength and legacy continue to inspire everything we do.

Dr. Pengda Liu and his team at UNC Chapel Hill have been awarded $40,000 to support their project: “Novel antibody-drug conjugates to treat relapsed Ewing sarcoma.”

Innovative research like this brings hope to families facing relapsed disease and moves us closer to better, more effective treatments.

We are incredibly proud to support this work and grateful for the dedication behind it.

Their strength, resilience, and courage remind us what true bravery looks like. Today and every day, we honor their journeys and stand with all those impacted by limb loss. 💛

You don’t need to know a warrior personally to make a difference, and you don’t have to be local to get involved. We welcome warriors, families, and supporters from all over to help us raise funds for sarcoma research and awareness.

April is Limb Loss & Limb Difference Awareness Month 💛

Throughout April, we’ll be highlighting incredible sarcoma warriors who have experienced limb loss as part of their journey, sharing their strength, resilience, and stories.

First up is Belle 💫
Belle battled alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma and underwent a rotationplasty as part of her treatment. She is the definition of strength, courage, and unwavering resilience. Her journey is a powerful reminder that limb loss does not define limits.

We are so honored to share her story and celebrate the warrior she is. 💛

Wow. We are blown away by the incredible interest in the Maia James Sarcoma Innovation Grant. 💛

Not only does this show that meaningful work is being done to cure Ewing sarcoma, but it highlights the urgent need for continued funding in this space.

To every applicant, thank you. Your passion, innovation, and dedication give us so much hope. This grant is the most meaningful way we could honor our girl: working toward a future where fewer children face the outcome she did.
