KidsFirst Adoption Services KidsFirst provides international and domestic adoption placement services. We are a Hague accredited citizens throughout the country. We solve problems.

We are licensed in the State of Indiana and may work with U.S. We always adhere to the highest ethical standards in the representation of our families. We provide adoption services for the placement of children from Bulgaria, Ukraine, and the United States. KidsFirst Adoption is available to educate you in the complex process of adopting internationally and domestically. We pride ourselves on the personal attention we pay to our families before, during, and after the adoption process. You can trust us with your adoption because we will be there to address any problems that arise during the course of your adoption and to assure the success of your adoption. We provide domestic and international home study and post-placement services. We are Hague accredited and licensed in the State of Indiana.

This was one of the most difficult calls we received last week from our birth mother advice line. A 22 year old birth mother shared with us that she couldn’t parent her 5 year old child, but her family pushed her to keep the child.

After this call, we know that she is more educated and knows her options. If you have questions, we are always available to answer and talk you through the many options you have.

When you talk with your caseworker, that conversation stays exactly where it’s meant to stay, between you and us. As licensed social workers, we hold your privacy as a professional standard, not just a nice sentiment. The only time we’d ever need to step outside of that is if someone’s safety was at immediate risk, and even then, our first move is simply making sure everyone involved is okay.

Outside of that, what you share with us goes nowhere else. Not to parents, not to partners, not to anyone. This is your space to be honest, and we built it to stay that way.

What a small world it is! We were having dinner at a restaurant in Portugal this weekend when someone comes to our table and says “are you Steve and Inna?” We looked up to see a family who is so dear to us. Marina was adopted from Russia over 22 years ago, and she is now a beautiful 26 year old doing amazing things. We are overwhelmed by how special it was to see them. What are the odds?! 💓

There’s a common misconception that all adopted children grow up carrying resentment or sadness about their story. While those feelings can be part of the picture for some, most adopted children grow into an open, hopeful curiosity about where they came from.

To birth families who wonder what that curiosity means: it doesn’t mean a lack of love. Wanting to know more about your roots comes from a desire for connection, not from holding onto anything negative. That search is simply part of understanding a fuller story, one that already includes love on all sides. 💙

A sweet girl who we placed for adoption over 20 years ago reached out to me a few days ago and asked if we could spend her birthday together.

That one little text warmed up my heart. I feel so lucky to have the chance to spend time with her and celebrate her special day! 💓
