Please welcome PIA of Indiana's newest Board Member, David O'Neil!

David is the owner of Beacon Insurance, based in Southern Indiana. Alongside building his business, he has dedicated 22 years to military service through the Indiana National Guard and U.S. Army Reserves, including a deployment to Afghanistan. Since founding Beacon Insurance in 2013, David has earned recognition for both professional success (2025 PIA Indiana and National Young Professional of the Year) and community involvement, sponsoring local events, coaching youth sports, and volunteering with the Hadi Shrine as a clown known as “Firecracker.” He is also respected for his leadership, service, and commitment to giving back to his community. We’re excited to welcome his leadership and perspective during his service on the Board.

We are excited to introduce Andrew Skaggs as PIA of Indiana's 2026-2027 President!

Andrew Skaggs is the second-generation owner of Skaggs Insurance Agencies, Inc., where the mission is to help individuals, families, and businesses protect what matters most through personalized insurance and risk management solutions. Andrew is a graduate of Indiana State University and Noblesville High School. After beginning his professional career as a high school special education teacher, Andrew transitioned into the family insurance business in 2016, bringing with him a strong passion for education, service, and relationship-building.

Andrew believes insurance is more than policies and premiums — it’s about helping people make informed decisions that protect their future. His teaching background continues to shape the way he works with clients by emphasizing communication, education, and long-term trust.

Outside of the insurance industry, Andrew remains deeply involved in the community by volunteering with organizations that support children and adults with special needs. In recognition of his leadership and dedication to the industry, Andrew was named the Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) National Young Insurance Professional of the Year in 2021. When he is not working, Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife, Jenny, his daughter, Hallie, and his son, James.
