Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity unites the community with people in need to provide the life-changing opportunity to purchase and own quality, affordable homes. Habitat for Humanity is committed to eliminating poverty housing and making decent shelter a matter of conscience an

d action. To accomplish these goals, Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families and individuals in need of attainable homeownership. Since 1987, Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity has helped more than 1500 families globally relocate from or repair substandard and poverty housing into quality and affordable homes. More than 1000 of these homeowners are here in our community of Greater Indianapolis and 550 in Central America. Day 2 of the CEO Build brought together an incredible group of leaders rolling up their sleeves and showing what it means to lead with purpose. This unique opportunity to walk alongside homebuyers is helping them build their futures on their own terms through access to decent housing.

For four years, we’ve been fortunate to partner with leaders who are truly engaged in the communities they serve. Thank you to this year’s co-chairs, sponsors, and participants for pushing our mission forward and helping meet the need in our city. 🏡

Day 1 complete! 🔨

The kicked off on site today with half of our participants working alongside our future homeowners—and it was an incredible start. Led by Mary Beth Oakes, the team framed the skeleton of the home, building more than just walls.

From new skills to new connections, these leaders are leaving a lasting impact that will continue to grow for years to come—creating the opportunity for the Ahmed family to have a safe, affordable place to call home. 🏡
