Our reading program was back at it again this month! 📚 One classroom even had an extra-special guest: Kronk, joining Rotarian Hilary for some reading time! 🐾

Kronk is also BCHC’s very own therapy dog, so he’s no stranger to spreading smiles and comfort!

We’re loving this program and can’t wait to see it continue to grow. It’s so fun to see the students enjoying the books and the visits!

📚✨ We are SO excited to officially launch Independence Rotary Reads with our PK4 students and classrooms!

A huge thank you to Miss Bresson, Miss Kane, Miss Bean, and Miss Wolf for welcoming us into your classrooms, allowing us to read with your students and help promote a lifelong love of reading! We had such a wonderful time and can’t wait to come back in October for another round of Rotary Reads! ❤️

Here’s to growing little readers, one book at a time! 📚

📚 This afternoon, we prepared 900 books for the school year for our 4-year-old preschool students!

We’re so excited to kick off Rotary Reads next week at each Independence PK4 classroom and help put a book in the hands of local preschoolers all year long! ❤️📖

Happy Earth Day! 🌎 🌳♻️

Rotarians took a shovel to the ground today, planting a tree next to the Rotary Shelter in Teacher’s Park in honor of Earth Day and in memory of the Rotarians who are no longer with us. Their impact, support, and contributions are truly meaningful and will never be forgotten.

We hope you take a moment to enjoy this beautiful day, do something kind for the earth, and let the people you have the opportunity to work with know just how appreciated they are. 🌎🌱
