With this being Labor Day weekend we will not be working in the cemetery but join us on Saturday September 12th at 9:00 am. Everyone enjoy the weekend!

We the Brigade group hope that after you have seen these videos and pictures you would like to join us in this restoration! It isn’t hard work cleaning and restoring just your time! You can even sit in a lawn chair while cleaning. If you are unable to do hands on please consider making a donation! Mail checks to the City of Independence, IA and make it out to Oakwood cemetery. This allows us to continue to purchase products and supplies needed! No donation is to small!

And once again the weather has stopped us! We are in our vehicles waiting to see if it passes over or ends our day as the lightening is not safe to work outside in!
