We've made it to Backyard Series 2025!

This year we faced a new obstacle- RAIN! To those of you who braved the weather and still came out for the show, we are still thankful! We ended up with the most stunning sunset painted across the sky. The skies proclaim the works of His hands!

This is the last performance in Benbrook!!! We are beyond grateful for this amazing space graciously given to us by Daniel and Lynn Sneed. The years here have grown and shaped Open Sky in ways that have impacted our company and community deeply.

We would love to have you at this final show. Our guest artists include Ad Deum Dance Company, Hannah Anderson, Christa Beecham, Camille Sutton, and Brittany McClellan. Open Sky Interns will be performing works by Anna Joy Williamson and Lois Redwine. Open Sky company members will be performing our brand new Gospel retelling work "The True Myth". This will be a powerful and special performance. We can't wait to see you there!

Come with your friends and family (carpooling is best) bringing your camping chairs or picnic blankets to sit on and any food or drink you want! If you don't want to bring your own food, we are overjoyed to have Awake & Gather joining us again with delicious tacos, coffee and treats!

Another special addition to this special show is our MERCH! We are selling our Open Sky Clubhouse KID'S SIZE SHIRTS! These are the shirts that we give to the kids we work with on our summer missions in Parkersburg, West Virginia. When you purchase a shirt for your child, it benefits the kids we pour into across the nation!

Be sure to purchase you tickets and pre-order your picnic blankets asap!

*So far there is no rain in the forecast for this year but stay tuned if there, we will send all ticket buyers a rain plan.

Backyard Series 2024!

Another full show! This year was an immersive creation experience with birds circling overhead during the piece "His Eye is on the Sparrow" as if they knew it was their turn, and we even had couple deer enter into the backdrop of the stage!

What an honor and joy to join creation waiting in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed (Romans 8:19).

Come join us in the song and dance of creation NEXT WEEKEND! Tickets and picnic blanket-pre orders are on sale now! Get your now before they sell out.

Revisiting past Backyard Series show... these are glimpses from 2021. This is the year we started at the fabulous Benbrook Lake location . We had a small company that solidified a foundation of vibrant community.

This was also the first event with the theme we call "Mother Tongue". Every piece presented in the show was choreographed by a mother. The richness of motherhood poured off the stage and touched many hearts.

We will be performing one of our favorite pieces from this show at our 7th Backyard Series THIS MONTH! A piece titled "Sing Gently" created by Director and Founder, Jeanna Vance. Performed by herself and Grace Miller, this piece was created in 2020 in response to the separation of beloved community members and highlighting the comfort and gift of walking through life together.

Get your tickets now for our October 24th and 25th Backyard Series! You won't want to miss this show. We have old favorites and brand new rep to share with you and your family!

Friends, we just received a generous $5,000 gift and we are overwhelmed by the generosity of this community! Here's where we stand: we've raised $32,052 toward our $40,000 goal — which means we have just $7,948 left to close before our team departs for Parkersburg on July 11. That's 12 days. Every dollar funds something real — meals, Bibles, shoes, staff travel — for 80+ kids who are counting down the days until the doors of that pink church open again. If you feel nudged to sow into these kids and this mission, here's the link:
