Today I held my booth at the Young Maker's Market for the first time! 🎉
I make all kinds of crafts, and I usually donate most of what I create, but this time, I decided to sell some of my creations and put all the profits toward funding my non-profit foundation.
I want to thank everyone who talked with me and encouraged me throughout the day, including the Woodlands High School teachers and the Wilis ISD teachers I met today, and the rest of my community. I also want to thank everyone who visited my booth, talked with me, and to everyone who made a purchase. I also want to thank everyone who helped organize this event, including the Woodlands Arts Council, because this was truly an amazing experience for all the other young artists and me.
I'm so happy to say that almost everything sold out! Applying the business knowledge I've built through DECA's International Business Competitions to a real market like this was such a rewarding experience.
One of my favorite parts of the day was the Young Artist's Board at my booth. Every young artist and kid who stopped by added a drawing or a message, and by the end of the day, it had turned into one of the best pieces of art there!
