🚨EXPIRED = Youth Protection Training (YPT) on May 31, 2026🚨
🚨OVERDUE = The new Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT)🚨

Youth Protection Training (YPT) has been replaced by the new Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT). Every registered leader must have taken SYT by May 31, 2026, to continue to participate in Scouting.

Failure to have taken the course means:
⛔Suspension of your account
⛔No access to Scoutbook Plus
⛔No participation in unit activities as a leader (including meetings, outdoor activities, service projects, summer camp, etc.)

💻Once completed it can typically take 24-48hrs for the course to show on your account.

⚠️If you have not taken the NEW SYT full 90 Minute course, you MUST TAKE THAT FIRST before you can take the refresher to get full SYT credit.

🔥 Great leaders, great ideas, and great food. I mean, what more could you ask for?

Join fellow Scouters for an evening of connection, collaboration, and celebration as we wrap up another incredible year of serving youth. This is a fantastic opportunity to share successes, gather new ideas, learn from one another, and strengthen the relationships that help make our units thrive.

And yes... come hungry! We'll be enjoying some delicious BBQ while spending time with an amazing group of volunteers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of Scouts.

Whether you're a unit leader, committee member, commissioner, parent, or supporter of Scouting, your voice and experience matter. We are stronger when we learn from each other and work together toward a common purpose.

Bring your appetite, your enthusiasm, and your Scout spirit. We’re looking forward to a fun evening of fellowship, laughter, and celebrating all we've accomplished together! ⚜️🔥🍖

📅 A quick note: There will be no Roundtable meeting in July as we take a brief summer break.

Did you know a new national study found Eagle Scouts consistently stand out in leadership, service, resilience, and community involvement compared to adults who were never in Scouting?

Scouting America National Council recently released a new Harris Poll study surveying thousands of adults across the country, and the results powerfully reinforce the lifelong impact of Scouting and the Eagle Scout journey.

The study highlights the impact Eagle Scouts demonstrate in:
⭐ Well-Being & Outlook on Life
⭐ Health & Activities
⭐ Leadership & Civic Engagement
⭐ Character & Values

We know how much effort Scouters and volunteers pour into helping youth achieve their goals, and this study is a great reminder that the lessons learned in Scouting last a lifetime.

From leadership in the workplace to volunteerism and preparedness for life’s challenges, Eagle Scouts continue to make a difference long after earning the rank.

Celebrating the incredible impact Scouting continues to have in our communities. Thank you to our adult leaders and volunteers for all you do to help shape the next generation of leaders.

Scouting America Military Family Fee Waiver

Effective June 1, 2026, Scouting America is expanding access to Scouting for military-connected youth by waiving the $85 national youth registration fee for eligible families. This program applies to youth members only and is available for both new and renewing online registrations. The initiative is funded nationally through philanthropic efforts.

Eligible families include those with current service in the Active Duty, Reserve, or National Guard. The waiver covers only the national youth registration fee, reducing the $85 cost to $0 after the required verification and discount code process is completed. Local council fees, unit dues, optional add-ons such as Scout Life magazine, and processing fees may still apply.

To receive the waiver, families should select “Get Military Discount Code” during the online registration process, complete the verification steps, receive the verification code, and enter it at checkout. Once the code is applied, the national registration fee is reduced to $0.

Scouting America notes that the $85 fee may initially appear during checkout but will be removed after the verification code is entered. The waiver is available only for online registrations.

Half a century of service. One lasting legacy. 🇺🇸
Today, our community celebrated an incredible milestone.

Congratulations to William D. Tate on 50 years of selfless service to the people of Grapevine.
Troop 7 was proud to assist in today’s unveiling of the statue honoring Mayor Tate and his decades of leadership, dedication, and commitment to this community.

Moments like this remind us how powerful a lifetime of service can be and how one person’s leadership can shape a city for generations.

👏 Thank you, Mayor Tate, for your unwavering dedication to Grapevine.
