“My students were TOTALLY engaged with the fun/informational videos! It brought fun back to the classroom! It allowed my students to enjoy learning with laughter and gain incredible knowledge of these very important topics! My students started noticing more about everyday life and pointing it out, for example, the importance of our American flag, the Statue of Liberty, and how it was a gift and not just a random statue. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching the Hands on Liberty Program to my second-grade students this year and hope to continue teaching it in the future!”

Congratulations 🎉 Miss Elizabeth Smith! The Liberty Learning Foundation is thrilled to announce that she was named Distinguished Young Woman of Cullman County 2027 and also took home the Interview Award, Scholastic Award, and Patty Grier Community Service Award, earning a total of $5,250 in scholarships.

Elizabeth has been a Citizen Promise Ambassador at Cullman High School since she was a freshman. She is a perfect example of what it means to love your community and to give back to those in need. ❤️🤍💙

Liberty Learning Foundation team members from across Alabama gathered at Stovehouse for our annual Team Retreat. It was a three-day experience dedicated to learning, collaboration, inspiration, and fun.

This retreat is more than just a gathering. It's our opportunity to recharge and strengthen the relationships that power our mission. This year's charge, "Back to Basics. Forward in Mission," reminded us that our greatest impact comes from mastering the fundamentals while boldly advancing our purpose.

Together, we're building momentum for another year of transforming lives, empowering educators, and inspiring students across Alabama.

“The Hands on Liberty Program has been an incredible addition to our Social Studies curriculum. Students were very engaged and excited each week for a new lesson and video. The teacher planning pages with suggested read-alouds and activities were a great resource! Honoring a Super Citizen at the end of the program is one of our favorite parts. The students feel such pride in choosing a hero to honor.”
