Propelling ideas forward — that's the Urban Engine mantra, its raison d'exister. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization on mission to propel the growth of North Alabama’s economy. Our programs accelerate STEAM innovation, connect aspiring entrepreneurs and established business leadership with educational resources, talent, and community, and provide a platform for professional development unique to the state. Founded in 2015 through its various programs and events, Urban Engine has grown in membership to over 1,600 millennial professionals today, with our programs in use across the region by other accelerators and cities. Urban Engine contributes heavily to North Alabama's innovation ecosystem by cultivating a dynamic workforce, professional development through creative autonomy, and the entrepreneurial gumption to launch and build thriving businesses.

Dear community,

With a mix of emotions, we announce the dissolution of Urban Engine. Urban Engine stands tall, celebrating our programs' profound impact on North Alabama's entrepreneurial community and ecosystem.

As we embarked on this journey more than eight years ago, Urban Engine was exhilarated by the record-breaking growth of North Alabama and our fast-growing small business community. It has been our privilege to play a role in this region's transformation, and we look forward to what will come for our communities.

That said, Urban Engine has decided to gracefully conclude its operations. The time has come to pass the baton to other exceptional organizations that have risen to the occasion, ready to enrich our burgeoning community further.

Thank you for being an integral part of our story. Your support has been the driving force behind every achievement and impact made. Let's continue propelling ideas forward, making a difference, and
fostering a better world together.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Urban Engine
