Get ready to decorate your trunks, break out the Halloween costumes, and join us for a spooktacular time at Eighth Street Community!

We're looking for volunteers to decorate their vehicles and pass out candy to our residents during our annual Trunk or Treat celebration!

Whether your trunk is spooky, silly, or full of Halloween magic, we can't wait to see your creativity! Help us make this a fun-filled evening of laughter, sweet treats, and wonderful memories for our residents.

At Eighth Street Community, we provide a safe, supportive environment where adults with cognitive disabilities can build independence, develop meaningful relationships, and become active members of their community.

Key Residency Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have a diagnosed cognitive or intellectual disability.
Must be fully ambulatory.

Our goal is to provide more than just a place to live. We strive to create a place where residents can grow, thrive, and truly feel at home.

Wh***ey & W**e was an incredible evening filled with great food, wonderful drinks, laughter, and meaningful connections.

More than anything, the night was about coming together in support of Eighth Street Community and the residents who call it home. Every conversation, sponsorship, donation, and show of support helps us create new opportunities and encourage independence. It also allows us to continue providing a community where our residents can thrive.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and made Wh***ey & W**e such a special evening. Your continued support makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. We are thankful to have you as part of the Eighth Street Community family.

A special thank you to Alison Kathleen Jones with The Unscripted Ordinary for beautifully capturing the evening. Your talent helped preserve the moments, connections, and joy that made this night so memorable.

For many years, JoAnn Perez and Lynn Troy have poured their love, dedication and spirit into the Eighth Street Community.

Under their leadership, this year’s Wh***ey & W**e event raised more than $150,000 to continue the mission of serving a diverse group of disabled adults who, through no fault of their own, need not only a home, but a chance to grow, contribute and engage in our community.

Beyond their five years of co-hosting “Wh***ey & W**e”, Lynn and JoAnn have given their time and talents as board members and strong voices for the residents of Eighth Street.

Lynn and JoAnn, we see what you do and how you do it all from a place of love. We are completely in awe and we love you back!

Our annual "Wh***ey & W**e" party was everything we'd hoped it would be!
The rooftop was full of energy, laughter, generosity, and people who truly believe in what we do. The incredible food, select pours, and beautiful Huntsville skyline made it an evening to remember!
