With PrideFest moved to the VBC in downtown Huntsville tomorrow, Saturday 10/3/2026 10am-5pm, attendees should be aware of where to park downtown!
While PrideFest itself has no admission, many of the nearby lots and garages charge from around $5 (for the city parking) to $15 to park in the VBC lot itself. I've attached images showing some of parking options relative to the venue, as well as the city and VBC websites for more information!

Vincent Rutherford Equality March is officially cancelled this year—- the three day forecast has a probability of storms Sunday, so we will reschedule for next June!

Reminder that PrideFest (tomorrow, 10/3/26 11-5) has been moved indoors to the Von Braun Center East Hall to guarantee that Pride goes on rain or shine!!

PrideFest is coming up tomorrow, 10/3/26 10am-5pm, located at the Von Braun Civic Center, East Hall 2&3!! Come celebrate LGBTQ History month with the community!

October marks LGBTQ History month! In addition for being a cooler month than June to get out and do some pride stuff, the month also commentates the 1970s and 80s includes National Coming Out Day October 11th! LGBTQ history is the history of people protesting for equal rights for our community— a struggle which continues to this day!

Pictured is the first Pride flag, created by Gilbert Baker at the request of Harvey Milk and premiering at San Francisco’s Gay Freedom Day Parade in 1978. The more traditional 6 color rainbow flag was adopted the next year 1979 due to the difficulty of obtaining the pink and turquoise fabrics.

Update for PrideFest!! Due to the forecasted probability of rain during PrideFest Saturday 10/3/2026, we’ve moved the festival indoors to Von Braun Center East Hall 2 & 3 (located at 700 Monroe St SW, Huntsville, AL 35801)

The event will still be open to the public from 10:00AM to 5:00PM 10/3/2026. We apologize for any inconvenience to the last minute change of venue, but we feel like the indoor location will guarantee that we are able to gather and represent for LGBTQ History month regardless of rain or storm!

Sunday’s forecast also shows rain for the Vincent Rutherford Equality March— we’re going to wait for the 3-day forecast to become available and make a final announcement on whether the march will go on or be rescheduled on Friday.
