The Tidewater School

The Tidewater School Tidewater School is a vibrant community in which children are inspired to learn through hands on work

The Tidewater School was founded in 1986 by educator Nancy Libertini in response to the need for a developmentally appropriate school for young children in Southern Maryland. Tidewater blends its Montessori curriculum with an Adlerian behavior model to help inspire and support children's intellectual, social, and emotional development. We pride ourselves on supporting and connecting both children and families through classes, seminars, and social events.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in person and in spirit at Jefferson Patterson Park to celebrate 40 years of The Tidewater School. We feel blessed to have connected with so many people who have been part of Tidewater's story. If you were unable to make it, please reach out.
