Attention, young adults: don’t miss out on this upcoming event.
Have you ever thought about the proper way to think about who you are and how you should live in this world from a Biblical perspective? Rip Pratt will challenge us on that very topic: “Living Life Through the Lens of Your Death”. Word & Deed is sponsoring this evening on Sunday, Nov. 8, at Bethany URC (5401 Byron Center Ave.). Refreshments will begin at 7:15 pm. RYS will also be giving a rundown of our upcoming post-high events. Mark your calendars and share with a friend.

Attention, East Coast leaders: The October 29 (Updated) deadline to register your group is coming up quickly!
High school youth groups and leaders from East Coast churches are invited to the RYS retreat November 6–8 at Camp Pinnacle Retreat Center in Voorheesville, NY. Rev. Aaron Verhoef will speak on “What Is Love?” based on 1 Corinthians 13. Enjoy fellowship, sports, outdoor activities, and more! The cost is $255 per person, including two nights’ lodging, four meals, beverages, and sessions. Optional paintball is available for an additional $40 per participant; leaders should indicate participants when registering. Registration can be found on our website under the retreats tab.

A Beautiful Fall Evening Among the Trees!
Yesterday, 40 high school students and their leaders took to the heights at TreeRunner Adventure Park.
After a quick safety tutorial, attendees geared up, clipped into their safety lines, and headed into the trees. Groups eagerly tackled a variety of thrilling ropes courses, ziplines, and challenging obstacles. Even the leaders joined in on the fun, testing their courage alongside their students!
It was an incredible blessing to see students step outside their comfort zones, encourage one another, and share plenty of laughs with their leaders.
More than just a fun evening, this event provided a wonderful opportunity for youth leaders to connect with their students, strengthen relationships, and create lasting memories together.
We look forward to returning next year, Lord willing.

Post-High Winter Volleyball is Back!
Attention, Post-High young adults, single or married! Our Winter Volleyball dates are set!
Join us at Dutton URC from 6:30–8:30 p.m. for an evening of casual volleyball, snacks, and great Christian fellowship. Whether you come every year or have never joined us before, we'd love to have you!
No sign-ups required; show up and play!

Excellent Turnout at Our Post-High Pizza Bash!
45 post-high young adults joined us last Friday for an evening of pizza, coffee, games, and Christian fellowship.
We were especially thankful to welcome young adults from a number of different churches and areas, even a few from out of state! We also had many people joining us for the first time, which was wonderful to see.
With beautiful fall weather, there was plenty to do throughout the evening. Some gathered around to talk and enjoy snacks, while others played badminton, took pictures at the photo booth, or headed inside for games. More than anything, it was simply a great opportunity for young adults to meet new people, reconnect with friends, and enjoy fellowship together.
If you're a young adult who missed the Pizza Bash, we'd love to have you join us at an upcoming event! Whether you're single or married, coming with friends or showing up for the first time, our Post-High events are a great way to meet other young adults and build connections.
