Largest Round of Grant Funding Awarded in 2024

The Hudsonville Education Foundation has made a significant impact on Hudsonville Public Schools by awarding an impressive $25,000 in grant funding for the 2024/2025 academic year, marking the highest single-year grant total in the foundation's history.

Recipients of the grant awards and their teams were celebrated during the "welcome back" meeting for all staff in August, fostering a spirit of collaboration and support. This fall, educators began leveraging their grants to acquire essential tools and resources, setting the stage for a successful new school year.

Andy Secor, retired Principal of Jamestown Upper Elementary, Grant Committee Chairman, and Foundation Board Member, emphasized the achievement, stating that nearly every school in the district has received one or more grants, encompassing various academic interests.

This year also witnessed a record-breaking surge in grant applications, both in number and the total funds requested, with thirty-two applications submitted, amounting to $45,944.15.

This , we are thrilled to highlight the impact your donations to the Hudsonville Education Foundation make in the lives and education of students at Hudsonville Public Schools.

Please join us in celebrating the Grand Opening of the Learning Lab at the Early Childhood Center! Watch this amazing video created by ECC educator and grant applicant lead, Megan Meyer. https://hudsedfound.org/what-we-do/invest-in-students/grants-in-action.html

The Learning Lab at Hudsonville Public Schools Early Childhood Center provides the district's youngest learners with a designated indoor space to develop and practice classroom and life readiness skills through imaginative play.

Donors imagined the possibility of this space with the Hudsonville Education Foundation and Early Childhood Center educators in April of 2024. Thanks to the generosity of supporters for this special Fund-A-Need grant project, $5,000 was raised to make the Learning Lab a reality.

As you are carefully considering your charitable giving on and throughout the year, the Hudsonville Education Foundation invites you to join our efforts to enrich education for students now and for future generations.
