hudson.mile PTEN GIRLS TRAINING FOR H1M26 The miles start small, a breath, a step, a mile but for these girls, they’re building something much bigger.
We’re proud to be training alongside the athletes of Perfect Ten Hudson as they prepare for The Hudson Mile, developing strength, confidence, and the courage to go after their goals, on the course and in life.
Their mission is powerful: empowering girls with the skills and belief to create independent, self-supporting futures and every stride they take brings that vision closer.

We made it through our first 2 mile run 🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️🏃🏾‍♀️‍➡️🤸🏽🏃🏻‍♀️‍➡️they say it gets easier, they say we’ll be able to keep up in a few weeks 😰🤞🏽

We’re training with Jorge Pardo & Kendal Turner for the 2nd annual Hudson Mile run on 7/11.

If you see us out and about on our Monday runday cheer us on - we could use it !

Did we mention all proceeds after expenses are being donated to PTen…. Yup you read that correctly!

On this National Women's Day, we want to shout out JACKIE SALVITORE 👮🏾💫 📢

The pic says quite a bit! But she's so much more here in our community, especially to us here at PTen.

We're pretty lucky to be able to say Jackie is on our Board of Directors. She’s an exemplary role model advocating for the young women in our program.
Having a community member such as Jackie recognize and show interest in the girls is invaluable to their self-esteem and success.

Our first outing for the Gallery Gals club was to the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center
A teaching museum at , the first art museum at a college or university. Dating back to 1861.

We have new perspectives on art for sure!

Our guide Emma (a senior from Idaho) was truly amazing, she made comparisons of the three artists and their work, to current day relatable situations for the girls .

First artist, Adèle Romany, French portrait artist. Her salon painting of a young woman entering the dating seen (Tinder of the 1800’s)

Second artist, Joan Mitchell, a N.Y. School abstract expressionist. Her paintings were influenced by her feelings which she equated to poetry. In a male dominated medium, was quite remarkable.

Third artist , Florine Stettheimer, an American modernist/ feminist painter. She painted strictly for herself and friends , she didn’t sell her paintings. Her subjects - social commentary on her privilege, racism and sexual orientation. extremely Avant -garde for the time.
