Mandarin Immersion School of Houston

09/29/2026

MISH's story continues. 🐉🦁

In our first year, MISH students posted top-percentile MAP scores and made the front page of the Houston Chronicle. That mission to prioritize Mandarin immersion, academic excellence, and accessibility in a nurturing environment lives on at Dragon Mandarin Immersion School (DMIS), now at our Timberside Drive campus. Same heart, bigger wings: we've grown into a full PreK-5 elementary school, with plans to expand through 12th grade.

MISH families and friends: come along for the next chapter.

Dragon Mandarin Immersion School (DMIS) is the successor to MISH, carrying forward everything you've loved about Mandarin immersion education in Houston: a research-proven academic head start, individualized learning, and a whole-child philosophy. We're building on that foundation with a full PreK–5 (and beyond!) program launching Fall 2026.
If you have younger children, know a family looking for a language immersion school, or just want to spread the word, please share this Reel.

✨ Joy. Hard work. Celebration. Community. Gratitude. ✨
This is what a spring performance looks like at MISH! This performance was a celebration of our incredible community: the joy our students radiate, the hard work they put in every day, and the gratitude we feel for each and every one of you.

✨ 喜悅。努力。慶典。社群。感恩。✨
這就是 MISH 春季演出的樣貌！這場演出是對我們美好社群的慶典：學生們散發出的喜悅、他們每天付出的努力，以及我們對每一位家長與朋友深深的感恩之情。

🏆 Congratulations to Our Amazing Students!

We are beyond proud to share that our students recently competed in the 31st Chinese Speech Contest —presented by the Global Federation of Chinese Business Women, Southern USA Chapter — and they absolutely shone!

🥇 1st Place | 🥈 2nd Place | 🥉 3rd Place | 5th Place

Every student who took the stage represented MISH with grace, confidence, and incredible Mandarin proficiency. Their hard work and dedication paid off, and we couldn’t be more proud. They are already looking forward to competing again next year with Dragon Mandarin Immersion School!

If you’d like to learn more about our Mandarin immersion program and how your child can develop the same confidence, language skills, and cultural understanding, we’d love to connect!
