See to Succeed recently launched their Eye Believe Bus, See to Succeed's new mobile clinic! The Eye Believe Bus has the capacity to serve up to 50 students per visit, with the same high-quality eye care as our standard See to Succeed clinics. HJF funded the purchase of the iCare Tonometer for the mobile clinic. An iCare tonometer is a handheld, portable medical device used to measure intraocular pressure (IOP, or eye pressure) quickly and painlessly without numbing drops or an air puff; making the visit for children less invasive and less threatening for those that have never had an eye exam.
See to Succeed, part of the , provides free comprehensive eye exams and eyeglasses to school-age children (ages 6–18) in greater Houston who fail school vision screenings and face access barriers
HJF not only funded equipment for the Eye Believe Bus, but is See to Succeeds longest tenured consistent volunteer group; spending many hours annually volunteering at the See to Succeed Clinics.
