Love seeing this car out there!

"Yes officer, I saw the speed limit. I just didn’t see you.”

Summer break means more kids on bikes, scooters, walking to parks, and playing near streets—especially in our neighborhoods. That extra foot traffic + hotter days (people rushing, AC blasting, phones out) often leads to more reckless driving. Speeding and "California stops" (those lazy rolling stops) are a recipe for tragedy.

Safe driving isn’t just about avoiding tickets — it’s about not ruining someone’s summer (or worse).

Drive safe out there in the Houston heat!

With the upcoming rain over the next few days, we would like to remind everyone to be safe when out on the roads.

Rootin’-Tootin’ good time

Well now… y’all ready? 🤠 We’re just 9 days out from the annual Memorial Villages Food Truck Rodeo, and it’s fixin’ to be one heck of a good time!

Come on out next Saturday, April 18th and gather ‘round for a rip-roarin’ community shindig you won’t wanna miss. We’re bringin’ in some of the finest grub-slingin’ food trucks this side of Texas, includin’:

🔥 Slow-smoked BBQ from Trail Boss
🍔 Sizzlin’ smash burgers from Manna from Heaven
🥞 Sweet and savory crepes from The CrepeXscape
🦞 Fresh lobster from Cousins Maine Lobster
🌭 Good ol’ hot dogs from New England Diggity Dogs
🍛 Bold, down-home flavor from Kreole Soul

Need to cool off? Grab yourself some shaved ice from KONA Ice and mosey on over to all the action:

🐂 Take a ride on the mechanical bull
🪓 Try your hand at axe throwin’ (aim for the target, partner!)
🚗 Feast your eyes on some fine rides from Space City LX
🎤 Belt out a tune at karaoke if you’re feelin’ brave

We’ve got some special folks ridin’ into town too, includin’ NEEDS (Crime Stoppers-protecting our most vulnerable) and TWU Publishing (author of the award-winning Speedy Phoebe children's books) —with more surprises waitin’ in the wings!

So round up your friends and family, bring your appetite, and come on down for a boot-stompin’, belly-fillin’, good ol’ time!

🤠 We’ll see y’all at the rodeo - only at Chapelwood UMC - Houston

We love seeing officers out with our future leaders, motorcycle gang! Bike Safety Class is a must.

Less than a week away! Even if you can’t come out, sponsor a first responder for the opportunity to play on this magnificent ranked course.

Our annual Birdies Fore Blues golf tournament is right around the corner. We still have slots available to play with MHS athletes and our first responders!

Golf is a game where you yell "fore," shoot six, and write down five.

Recap of last year, it’s an awesome experience!

New Years Eve!

Plan ahead to get home safely—don't risk your life or others' by driving impaired; use a designated driver, rideshare, or stay over, because a DUI costs more than a taxi, and the tragedy of a preventable crash isn't worth the celebration.

Drive carefully and Drive Like a Texan!

Now, throughout the holiday season, please remember that this is the week of Christmas. That means there will very likely be many kids out and about and a plethora of panicked shoppers at area malls and stores, many with no patience and little courtesy. Keep up your guard, monitor your surroundings, and walk or drive away from rude and inconsiderate people or drivers.
