The GHCVB is now known as the Houston Hospitality Alliance (HHA). The 501(c)(6) organization will be led by a board of directors chaired by Reginald “Reggie” Martin. HHA serves as a trade association focused on advocacy for Houston’s hospitality industry at the local, state and national levels. Its unique structure will also help strengthen ties with other industry-related associations in Houston,

including the Hotel Lodging Association of Greater Houston and the Greater Houston Restaurant Association. Our Mission: Promote, connect, and energize Houston's hospitality and tourism businesses. Our Vision: Growing hospitality, tourism, and industry success in the friendliest global city

Last week, Houston Hospitality Alliance welcomed members and industry leaders to a special reception at Late August in honor of Executive Director Reggie Martin.

Hosted by HHA Board Chair Connie Cochran and the HHA Board of Directors, the event brought together professionals from across Houston's hospitality, tourism, arts, entertainment, and destination sectors.

The evening served as a reminder of the value of strong industry relationships and the importance of creating opportunities for collaboration, engagement, and advocacy.

Thank you to Late August, Lucille's Hospitality Group, our leadership team, and all who attended. We appreciate your continued support as we work together to strengthen Houston's hospitality industry and create meaningful value for our members.

Last week, Houston’s hospitality community came together for the 30th Annual Hotel & Lodging Association of Greater Houston Golf Tournament, and we were proud to participate as the event’s Reception Sponsor.

With approximately 300 hospitality professionals, sponsors, volunteers, partners, and industry leaders in attendance, the tournament was a strong reflection of the connection and collaboration that continues to drive Houston hospitality forward.

HHA Executive Director Reggie Martin had the opportunity to speak during the event, highlighting the importance of continued partnership and support across our industry.

Hosted at Wildcat Golf Club under beautiful Houston skies, the event successfully raised funds benefiting the HLAGH Endowed Scholarship Fund at the University of Houston Conrad N. Hilton College of Global Hospitality Leadership —supporting the next generation of hospitality leaders.

We’re proud to officially announce Reginald Martin, CEC, MBA, as the Executive Director of Houston Hospitality Alliance.

Since stepping into the Interim Executive Director role in July 2025, Reggie has provided leadership and industry insight for the Houston Hospitality Alliance.

Reggie, a proud Houston native, Certified Executive Chef, and transformational leader, brings decades of experience spanning hospitality operations, workforce development, and strategic partnerships. His leadership has been instrumental in shaping HHA since its founding and continues to strengthen our mission to advocate for and connect Houston’s hospitality industry.

HHA's Board Chair, Connie Cochran, stated, "We look forward to this next chapter under his leadership as we continue to build momentum for our members and in our city."

What an incredible Lunch & Learn this past Thursday!

A huge thank you to and for hosting such a memorable event. We’re grateful to HHA Executive Director Interim Reggie Martin, Board Chair Connie Cochran, and the leadership team at HCC—including Dr. Edmund “Butch” Herod and Shenesse Britton—for helping bring this together.

Thank you to Dr. Andrea Bonner for sharing insights on workforce development, and to Chef Mariah Scott—2025 Houston Chef of the Year and Next Level Chef contestant—for leading an unforgettable culinary experience.
