Capital IDEA Houston was proud to join The Metropolitan Organization - TMO Houstonfor its October 4 Candidate Accountability Session—connecting with community partners, catching up with friends, and bringing the needs of Houston families directly to candidates.

A special thank-you to our participants, Mercy and Shannon, for sharing their powerful testimonies and showing why access to education, career training, and support matters.

We attended to ask candidates for their support in increasing investment in workforce development—including securing $500,000 in public and private funding for Capital IDEA Houston so more adults can access training and build living-wage careers.

Civic engagement means staying informed, asking questions, and holding those who seek to represent us accountable. We’re proud to be part of this process!

Last Saturday, we came together to celebrate 16 Years of Thriving Careers—and we’re still feeling the joy, energy, and gratitude from an incredible evening!
