Relive this special moment from our Citizenship Day celebration as we welcomed and celebrated Harris County’s newest naturalized citizens!

This day was a meaningful reminder of our commitment to expanding access to naturalization services that help eligible residents navigate the path to citizenship through workshops, public events, application assistance and trusted legal service providers.

Thank you to Harris County Precinct One, Rodney Ellis, and the National Partnership for New Americans (NPNA) for helping make this celebration possible and supporting residents on their journey toward citizenship.

One setback shouldn't cost a family their home. Harris County’s continued funding for programs like eviction prevention truly is changing lives, and the work continues, Commissioners Court just approved funding and expanding eviction diversion to three Justice of the Peace courts.

There are resources out there to help someone stay housed and get the landlord the money they're owed. One of those places where people have found that help is at Harris County Justice of the Peace Precinct 7, Place 1.

Rising housing costs are making it difficult for Harris County residents to afford stable housing according to the Kinder Institute for urban research.

At Harris County, we are committed to connecting residents with the resources and support they need to remain housed. Through our Eviction Defense Program, we provide legal services to eligible renters facing eviction and work to expand access to justice for residents
experiencing housing instability.
