The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo BBQ Cookoff 2026 always delivers!
There’s just something about that kickoff weekend — smoky brisket in the air, live country music, boots everywhere, and tents packed with good people. It really sets the tone for rodeo season in Houston.

Wharton County High School seniors!

There is a new $6000 AGT Vocational Scholarship available for Wharton County seniors. At least one student from Wharton county will be awarded this scholarship.

See the link for criteria. Must plan to attend a Texas Trade school or junior college and participate in curriculum leading to an Associate’s degree or certificate in a vocational field.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo scholarship application is completed entirely online. Applicants will upload supplemental documents when completing the online application.
