VFW Auxiliary Post 8790

09/20/2026

Thankful for the Harmony Science Academy Houston Key Club that came in to help us clean up after our Boots and Heroes event.

Our Auxiliary has adopted this group for this year and we are proud to see them in the community helping veterans.

🇺🇸 ALWAYS REMEMBER. NEVER FORGET. 🇺🇸

VFW Post 8790 was honored to be part of the Travis Manion Foundation Annual 9/11 Heroes Run.

We were proud to have our Post represented with a tent, runners hitting the course, and an incredible group of volunteers showing their support. ❤️🤍💙

Events like this remind us why we come together—to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, recognize our first responders and military, and carry forward the legacy of those who stepped up to serve.

Thank you to everyone who ran, volunteered, stopped by our tent, and helped make today meaningful.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

I was able to spend time at Spring Branch elementary reading to the kiddos and talking about helping out our community. I also shared about my journey to become a Navy Corpsman and how 9/11 affected me.

It was such a treat for our students to enjoy a read aloud this morning by Ronald Castro, a dedicated educator who is also a US veteran.
Grateful for our community members who volunteer their time to enrich our students' lives.
