She is a woman of faith, a devoted daughter of Christ, and the founder of Agape Foundation HTX, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the less fortunate within the community. Her passion lies in demonstrating the love of Christ through action by providing meals, hygiene supplies, clothing, haircuts, and encouragement to those in need. Through her work, she strives to remind every person she encounters that they are seen, valued, and loved. JoAna believes God has called His people to be His hands and feet, and she lives out that calling through service, compassion, and generosity.
Agape Foundation HTX was born from a desire to be obedient to God’s call to serve others. Witnessing the challenges faced by the unhoused community deeply touched JoAna’s heart, and she knew she couldn’t walk away without doing something. What began as a small act of kindness grew into a mission focused on extending love, dignity, and compassion to those often overlooked. Through prayer, faith, and the support of others, God opened doors and provided resources needed to establish the foundation.
JoAna believes the foundation’s work is important because when a woman’s basic needs are met and she feels seen and supported, hope can be restored. She understands that serving others is about more than providing assistance. It’s about creating opportunities for encouragement, connection, and transformation. She believes one of the greatest gifts a person can receive is the reminder that they are not alone and that their story is still being written.
Looking toward the future, JoAna hopes to expand the foundation’s reach and provide support more consistently throughout the month. She also hopes to connect individuals struggling with addiction to resources, support systems, and opportunities for recovery and personal growth. God willing, she dreams of one day opening a safe house where individuals can find stability, encouragement, and support to rebuild their lives. 💕
