Hot Springs High School Athletic Hall of Fame To communicate and honor the achievements of Hot Springs (SD) High School student-athletes. We also HOT SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME OBJECTIVES

1.

To give deserved recognition to outstanding Hot Springs High School athletes, coaches and supportive individuals of athletics.
2. To publicly celebrate Hot Springs High School’s athletic tradition by recognizing outstanding accomplishments and service.
3. To illustrate to current students and community members those individuals who have been instrumental in creating Hot Springs High School’s athle

tic tradition.
4. To promote continued interest in the Hot Springs High School athletic program via alumni and community members.
5. To fundraise for Hot Springs Hall of Fame, Hot Springs High School projects and Hot Springs Community. THE ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME WILL RECOGNIZE INDIVIDUALS IN THREE NOMINATION CATEGORIES

1. Athletes – recognize successes of individual athletes and Championship Teams at Hot Springs High School.
2. Coaches – recognize successes he or she achieved while serving as a coach at Hot Springs High School.
3. Distinguished Service – recognize outstanding service and contributions to Hot Springs High School athletics. HOT SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME GOALS

1. Honor outstanding teams and individual players in athletic events.
2. Honor coaches who dedicated themselves to develop student athletes.
3. Honor individuals and teams who committed time and effort in building the spirit of Hot Springs High School Athletics.
4. Financial Growth “Fundraising” To fund Hot Springs High School athletics, School projects and community. A. Establish a Foundation that qualified as a Tax-Exempt entity under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. B. To plan and implement a fundraising effort to solicit donations from, Alumni, Local Businesses

The 2026 Hot Springs High School Athletics Hall of Fame has selected its new inductees. They include: Mark Moller, state champion golfer in 2001; Kelly Northrup, state champion volleyball head coach in 2000, 2001; the state runner-up 2003 football team; Janet Wass, outstanding all-around athlete in the mid 1970s and Amanda Sides, state track champion and all-state volleyball player in 2000 and 2001. The four individuals and football team will inducted during the 2026 Bison homecoming football game this fall. The Bison schedule won't be released until sometime in April. More information on the inductees will be released at a later date.

The Hot Springs High School Athletics Hall of Fame presented a $1,800.95 check to the Hot Springs School District to eliminate the meal deficit of the school's ledger. This is all possible by the generosity of Hot Springs High School Alumni that support the Hot Springs Bison Athletics Hall of Fame. Thank you to them. The Bison, 4-4, make 11B state football playoffs as the No. 15 seed and will take on No. 2 St. Thomas More, 8-0, Thursday night in Rapid City, beginning at 6 p.m. The two teams met a week ago with the Cavaliers winning 27-0.
