Our Super Recycle Event this year was held on Saturday, May 2nd, at the Mueller Center parking lot. While we had slightly fewer vehicles than last year bringing items, each vehicle brought more recyclable materials than last year, and we filled both roll-off containers to capacity in quick order! By 10:15 am the containers were on their way back to Rapid City to unload. Community members participating helped keep 11,620 pounds of recyclable materials out of the local landfill! Quite an excellent outcome for the community. Pacific Steel is sincerely thanked for the volunteers they brought again this year, and the donation of the two containers used for our event. The other local volunteers are also appreciated for coming out on a Saturday morning in support of KHSB's recycling effort. Look for it again next year on the first Saturday of May.
