"Rivers Flow Not Past Us, But Through Us" -- John Muir

We’re excited to announce Hot Springs, SD has been approved for a Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF) program. The first class for participants is slated for August 15, 2018. Like other PHWFF programs across the nation, the Hot Springs Battle Mountain program supports the rehabilitation of veterans and disabled service members. PHWFF has become recognized as an innovative leader and model in the field of therapeutic outdoor recreation through its successful application of the sport of fly fishing as a rehabilitation tool.

Participants who meet the criteria for the program will learn fly tying, rod building and have opportunities to participate in outings. There is no cost to qualified participants.

Volunteers are essential to the program. Volunteers include veterans who do not meet the criteria to be participants, fly fishing enthusiasts, and anyone in the community wishing to support disabled veterans and injured military service personnel.

If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, contact Lyle “Cub” Cochran at [email protected]. If you would like to learn more about Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, visit http://projecthealingwaters.org
