Hope everyone is having a great Saturday evening on this holiday weekend!! I said I was going to post Colton everyday for September Cancer Awareness Month so here is another awesome video of just how funny Colton really was!! He was hilarious. He loved life. He wanted to be a rapper lol. I haven’t seen a lot of these videos since his passing but I want to share them with everyone. It’s like reliving his loss everyday and it’s hard but he deserves to be shared and rendered! 🥹

Colton was not just a cancer statistic. He was my baby. He was a little brother. He was a grandson. He was a nephew. He was a boyfriend to his Kylie. He was a best friend. As hard it is for you to see the videos of a little boy who died from cancer, it’s harder for those who loved him and got to experience this vibrant funny little boy!! How lucky were we?! That’s why we will ALWAYS GO GOLD 💛 We miss you so much Colty. You were the BEST!!

Let’s call it “In My Feelings Friday” today cause that’s exactly where I am today. I’ve been crying all morning, I just miss my sweet baby SO MUCH!! It physically hurts on days like today. As hard as those hospital days and night were, I’d give anything to be right back in that little hospital bed cuddled up with my baby. We always had so much fun, even in such a sh*tty situation. Colton was so funny and so full of life but now he’s just gone and all I have are these videos and pictures, which is not enough! 😩

Childhood Cancer is the worst!! God, there has to be a cure!! No mama should have to watch her baby suffer for years trying to just live! Then not make it through it all! I’ll never understand. It’s so unfair. Colton deserves to live! These kids deserve a cure!! That’s why we GO GOLD!! That’s why we continue to raise awareness and fight! God, I miss you Colton!! Days like today, they just seem unbearable because I can’t have you back here with me 😔😭💔

I wanted to share something sweet today. This is one of my favorite little videos of sweet Colty signing with his music therapist during one of our long hospital stays 🥰 The therapists and nurses hold such a special place in my heart. I don’t know that I could work and see what they have to see every day but I am extremely grateful they do 🙏 They make a huge difference for the kids going through the hardest times. Colton loved music ❤️ I miss his sweet little voice so much 😭

🎗️ CHILDHOOD CANCER FACT

Childhood cancer is not just one disease. There are more than a dozen major types of childhood cancer and over 100 different subtypes—each with its own challenges, treatments, and outcomes.

💛 For Colton, it was High-Risk Neuroblastoma.

Neuroblastoma is a cancer that develops from immature nerve cells and most often affects babies and young children. High-risk neuroblastoma can be especially aggressive and often requires an intense combination of treatments.

Behind every childhood cancer statistic is a child. A name. A family. A story.

For us, that name is Colton 💛🎗️

We will keep saying his name, sharing his story, and GOING GOLD until every child has a better chance.

I made a couple more frame options!! Let’s GO GOLD for our Golden boy Colton 💛👑

September 1 — Childhood Cancer Awareness Month 🎗️

Just three short years ago, this was my reality…

I remember writing these words from the PICU, scared and heartbroken, still hoping that somehow this was just another hurdle we would get through. What I didn’t fully understand at the time was that this day would change everything.

Colton had just completed another round of immunotherapy. We went into every treatment knowing there could be side effects, but hoping the treatment that was supposed to fight the cancer would give us more time and more hope.

Instead, his little body was telling us it couldn’t take anymore. His heart had suffered severe damage. His ejection fraction had dropped to 30%. Suddenly he was surrounded by tubes and wires again—an NG tube, a catheter, monitors everywhere—and the little boy who had already endured more than anyone ever should was exhausted.

And then came the realization we never wanted to face, the treatment meant to save him had become too harsh for his little body to survive. He could no longer continue the immunotherapy.

Looking back three years later, those words hurt so bad. We had no idea where the road ahead would take us. We only knew we wanted to get our Colton healthy enough to come home and be with his family.

This is why September matters so deeply to me and so many other going through this same reality. Childhood cancer awareness isn’t just about wearing gold. It’s about children like Colton who endure treatments so toxic that sometimes their bodies simply cannot take another dose. It’s about parents sitting beside hospital beds trying to understand impossible choices. It’s about desperately needing treatments designed specifically for children—treatments that can save their lives without destroying their little bodies in the process.

For the next month, and through the year, I’m going to share facts, memories and pieces of Colton’s story. Some will be difficult. Some will be beautiful. But all of them matter. Colton wasn’t just a statistic, he was my baby! And he still is 💛

This September, we GO GOLD for Colton.
We GO GOLD for every child still fighting.
We GO GOLD for every child we carry in our hearts 🎗️

Please help us wish a very special little girl, Kehlani, a very Happy 4th Birthday!! 🎉 We’ve been following her since her diagnosis. She was actually one of our first to receive a Colty Box! We were supposed to meet last year at the Colton race but of course, cancer got in the way!! This year for her birthday, her and her mom, Julie Carrier are getting treatment for her in New York at MSK. Not the place they want to be celebrating, away from family. I will post her Amazon wishlist and where to donate directly. Let’s show her some BIRTHDAY love from whenever you are!! 💖🎉 We love you Kehlani 🫶

It’s almost September y’all!! That means you get to see and hear about Childhood Cancer ALL month! Why is it so important to GO GOLD in September??

Why?! Because of children like Colton, who have battled and won unlimited healing in Heaven. Because the children who are fighting for their lives right now. Because the survivors who struggle from the side effects of these awful treatments. Because the families who have been torn apart by this disease. Because the grieving parents, siblings and loved ones. Because it’s just not fair. Because the treatments are barbaric. Because we need to do more to help these kiddos. Because we believe there is a better way. Because we believe and fight for a cure one day. So GO GOLD for Colton, GO GOLD for all these kiddos! Because they deserve it! 💪

I have to be honest, I hate talking about Childhood Cancer!!! I hate that this is my reality. I hate that my son is no longer here with me to cuddle and kiss. I hate the awkward conversations of being the mom who lost her son to cancer. I hate that my boys lost their baby brother. I hate that my son had to suffer half of his life because of it. I simply hate cancer!!! But these uncomfortable and awkward conversations need to be had!! We need to do more for these babies!!

Something as simple as changing your profile picture or sharing a post goes a long way. I know I speak for all cancer families out there and can say we appreciate you and your small gestures and even the bigger gestures like buying a shirt or making a donation. It doesn’t matter what foundation you choose to support, we all have the same goals, to help those going through the unimaginable. THANK YOU FOR GOING GOLD 💛💛💛

Who are you Going Gold for this month?! Please leave their picture in the comments, we’d love to honor them! 👇

Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday 😌

As we go into September Childhood Cancer Awareness Month tomorrow, I wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who has supported Colton’s Crusaders!! Last week we made 96 pairs of GO GOLD Colton socks for the Fountain Lake Football team’s 3rd-7th! 🎗️ AND 44 Colton’s Crusaders shirts!! 💛

Money from these orders go to Colton’s Crusaders 501c3 🎗️ We originally started sending Colton Boxes for his with CBD products that helped these kids with the side effects of the treatments but with state laws, we are not able to do that anymore. However, we still send Colton “goodie” Boxes customized to a specific kiddo and their interests to brighten their spirits. We are still able to pay for alternative products but no distribution of them in our boxes. We might have had a wrench thrown in our plans but we are working our way through them. We’ve been a little quiet this year as we are still navigating the grief and loss of Colton, I can promise you we are still continuing to help where we can. We would like to do much more for these kiddos and their families going forward this year and the years to come! 💪

We will be making Colton’s Crusaders shirts ALL SEPTEMBER so you still have time to order!! 🙌

I know some said the order form link was complicated so you can just message me your orders and send your donations to
Cashapp: $ColtonsCrusaders

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for all your support, prayers and love. I’m extremely grateful to have you all on this journey with us, we couldn’t do it without you 🙏

Thank you to my sweet friend, Kimberly Lambert Walters, who made this for me today 💛 She is a fellow cancer mom who lost her beautiful teen daughter Savannah Walters Memorial Foundation for Childhood Cancer. We are mom’s who mourn our precious children together, along with so many more parents 💔

February 15th is International Childhood Cancer Day🎗️ I never could have imagined that one of my boys would have ever been diagnosed with cancer. Then in less than 3 years of fighting, he would be gone. February 7th was Colton’s Diagnosis Day, the second worst day of my life. You never think it can happen to you or your family but it’s happening EVERY SINGLE DAY ALL OVER THE WORLD!!!

To break it down to everyone with facts 💯

💛 Childhood Cancer – Global Daily Reality 💛

🌍 Every Year Worldwide
• 400,000 children are diagnosed
• 100,000 children lose their lives

⏳ Every Day
• 1,095 children are diagnosed
• 274 children die

⏱ Every Hour
• 45 children hear the words “you have cancer”
• 11 children lose their fight

💛 Every 5 minutes, a child dies from cancer somewhere in the world!

It’s not rare anymore!! This is why we MUST continue to fight for changes and more studies. These children deserve to live. Colton deserved to live 😔

Thank you to everyone who supports us, listen to our stories and join us in these fights 🙏💪
