Summer should be a time for kids to thrive, not fall behind.

For many children in our community, the months away from school can mean real setbacks. That's why the programs we run here at The Salvation Army of Hopkinsville matter so much. When kids have a safe, supportive place to learn and grow, everything changes.

Growth doesn't have to pause when school ends. Your gift helps us keep our doors open for the kids who need it most, funding the staff, the resources, and the moments that add up to real change in a child's life.Support our kids programs today: https://tinyurl.com/mr3s48p3

From housing insecurity and joblessness to the invisible scars of PTSD, far too many of our nation’s bravest face unexpected hardships after their service.

The Salvation Army stands ready to serve those who served us—providing critical housing stability, job resources, food assistance, and emotional support to veterans in need.

They answered the call for us. Now, let’s answer theirs.

Today we say goodbye to Captains Donegan as they finish their time serving The Salvation Army of Hopkinsville.

During their years here, they worked hard for this community — supporting families, strengthening programs, and showing steady leadership through every season. Their commitment has made a real difference, and Hopkinsville is better because of the work they poured into this place.

We’re grateful for all they’ve done and the many ways they’ve supported our mission and our neighbors.

Please join us in wishing Captains Donegan well as they step into their next adventure. We pray for continued strength, joy, and direction in the days ahead.

Today we honor the American flag and the values it represents — unity, courage, and hope. Happy Flag Day!

When life wears us down and faith feels more like a routine than a relationship, we don't have to muster up our own strength to fix it.

Joy isn't something we have to manufacture; it is something God restores. Today, you can simply ask Him to refresh your heart and renew your perspective. You don't have to carry the weight alone—His grace is right here to sustain you.

It doesn't take much to change someone's day — or their life.

One meal shared with someone who is hungry. One prayer offered for someone who feels forgotten. One moment of care for a neighbor in need.

At The Salvation Army of Hopkinsville, we believe that small acts of generosity add up to something powerful. Joy grows when it's shared — and your gift, whatever the size, helps us keep showing up for people in our community. Start with one. Give today. https://tinyurl.com/mr3s48p3
