The enemy doesn’t get to rejoice over you!

“Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; when I fall, I will arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD will be a light to me.” Micah 7:8

The enemy thought he took you out.

He thought the blow was final.

He thought the battle had broken you beyond repair.

He thought the place where you fell would become your burial ground.

But he miscalculated.

You may be knocked down, but you are not out of the fight.

You may be weary, but you are not defeated.

You may be sitting in a dark place right now, but darkness does not mean God has left you.

The enemy celebrated too soon.

He saw you on the ground and assumed you were finished.

He saw your tears and thought you had lost your faith.

He saw your weariness and thought you had lost your strength.

But what he couldn't see was that God was meeting you in the darkness.

Micah didn’t say, “If I fall.” He said, “When I fall, I will arise.”

Your fall was never going to have the final word.

Don't let the enemy make you ashamed of the battle you've survived.

Don't let a difficult season convince you that you've been disqualified.

Don't mistake exhaustion for defeat.

You are still here.

Your scars are proof you survived.

So look the enemy in the eye and tell him he doesn’t get to rejoice over you.

He doesn’t get to gloat over what God is still restoring.

He doesn’t get to define your future by your worst moment.

And he certainly don’t get the final say.

There is still a promise over your life.
There is still purpose ahead of you.
There is still a testimony being written.

Get back up.

Not because you have never been wounded, but because you know the One who sustains you in the battle.

The enemy thought this was your ending.

But my friend, you may be down, but you are not out.

There is still a fight in you.
There is still a word over you.
There is still oil on your life.

And there is still a God who is not finished writing your story.

You may have fallen, but you will rise again.

And when you do, the very place where the enemy thought you would remain defeated will become evidence that God was faithful to bring you through.

2 Chronicles 20:22: "Now when they began to sing and to praise, the Lord set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated. Acts 16:25-26: "About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison shook. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose."

You will know Him as Rapha in this season.

There is a healing that God is releasing among His people, not only healing for your body, but healing for your soul, healing for your heart, and healing for the places within you that have been wounded for years.

There are wounds some have carried that no one knows about.

There are scars they have learned to cover so well that even the people closest to them don't know they are there.

They have learned how to worship while hurting.
They have learned how to serve while bleeding.
They have learned how to smile while carrying pain deep within their hearts.

But the Holy Spirit is saying, “I am coming for the places you have hidden.”

As I prayed into this word, I kept hearing, “church hurt.”

There are people who still deeply love the Church, but they have been wounded by the Church.

They love the body, but they carry scars from the body.

They still love Jesus.
They still love His presence.
They still believe in His house.
They still long to see revival.

But something happened.

Words were spoken.

Trust was broken.

And although they continued walking with God, a part of their heart remained wounded.

But the Lord has not forgotten that place.

He is not asking them to pretend it didn't happen.

He is not asking them to minimize what wounded them.

He is not asking them to deny the scar.

He is bringing healing to it.

He is Rapha.

He is healing the disappointment.
He is healing the betrayal.
He is healing the rejection.
He is healing the grief.

He is healing the wounds that happened in places that were supposed to feel like home.

And there are some who have been afraid to let God touch those places because the pain became part of their identity.

They learned to protect themselves.

They built walls around their hearts because they didn't want to be wounded again.

But the Healer is coming near.

The same God who healed their body is able to heal their memory.

The same God who restored their strength can restore their trust.

The same God who brought them through the storm can restore what the storm damaged.

They will discover that God can touch a wound that happened years ago and cause it to stop bleeding.

They will discover that forgiveness does not mean what happened was acceptable, it means the wound no longer has permission to control them.

They will discover that healing does not erase the scar; it changes what the scar means.

And perhaps this is why the Lord is healing His people in this season.

Because He is preparing a people who can love again without fear.

A people who can serve without carrying bitterness.

A people who can worship without pretending.

A people who can walk into His house without being held hostage by what happened in His house.

The Lord is healing His people from the inside out.

And in this season, they will not only know Him as Savior.

They will not only know Him as Provider.

They will not only know Him as Shepherd.

They will know Him as Rapha.

“For I am the LORD who heals you.” Exodus 15:26
