🌟 What an incredible night for Hoover’s Got Talent!
Our first fundraiser was an amazing success! Yesterday, the area's talented performers took the stage and shared their passion and creativity with an enthusiastic audience. We loved seeing our community come together to celebrate local talent and support a great cause.

A pianist, composer, and storyteller whose music has shared the stage with Jill Scott, Usher, Patti LaBelle, and Boyz II Men, Jamar brings over two decades of industry experience to Hoover's Got Talent. His work has touched gold and platinum records and productions like The Greatest Showman and The New Edition Story, and now he's bringing that same artistry and heart to our stage as MC!

A story worth telling—now on display.

Congratulations to the Leadership Hoover Class of 2026’s The Storytellers team (Kathryn Brockman, Shilpa Gaggar, Grace Dugger, Valerie Hale, Willie Wells, Jamie Schor and Scott Mitchell) on the completion of The Story of Hoover, a series of beautifully muraled panels that celebrate our city’s history, growth, and community spirit.

Now permanently displayed at the Riverchase Galleria—around the corner from White Barn Candles on the second floor above the food court—this vibrant installation invites visitors to explore the people, places, and milestones that have shaped Hoover into the community it is today.

This lasting project reflects months of collaboration, creativity and dedication to creating something that will educate, inspire and connect residents and visitors for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, talent, and support to bring this vision to life. The Storytellers have left a meaningful legacy for Hoover, and we couldn’t be more proud.

Leadership Hoover is looking for talented performers of all ages for the inaugural Hoover’s Got Talent! Whether you sing, dance, play an instrument, perform magic, tell jokes, or have a one-of-a-kind talent, this is your chance to shine on stage.
