Sandy knows her way around the numbers. As part of our Accounting team, she’s always the person our team turns to when something needs a little number crunching.

Sandy credits a good night’s sleep with helping her through a busy week. Outside the office, you’ll likely find her enjoying two favorites: sushi and a boba.

And the value she tries to carry through it all? Be kind and grateful.

Adam Bogucki has always been a connector. He enjoys bringing people together, finding common ground, and creating relationships that can lead to something meaningful.

That same spirit is part of what Adam brings to the Helping Hands Hawai‘i Board of Directors. As a father, he feels an especially strong connection to Ready to Learn and Adopt a Family and the joy these programs can bring to local keiki and families.

When he’s not working or giving back, Adam loves exploring Hawai‘i, from the beaches and mountains to the food and culture that made living here a longtime dream.

For Adam, it all comes back to leaving his team and community better than he found them.

Mahalo, Adam, for being part of Helping Hands Hawai‘i.

It takes a lot of helping hands to bring Adopt a Family to life.

Throughout November and December, volunteers will help our team prepare the warehouse, receive and sort donations, package gifts, shop for families who still need support, and take care of many of the behind-the-scenes tasks that make the program possible.

Individuals and groups are welcome, with weekday and weekend opportunities available.

Want to be part of it? Contact [email protected] or (808) 536-7234 ext. 813 to sign up.

Join us Sunday, October 25 at Pickles at Forte for a day of pickleball, wellness, and community.

Each holiday season, individuals, families, businesses, and community groups come together to help make the holidays a little brighter for local families through Helping Hands Hawai‘i’s Adopt a Family.

Register as a donor and you’ll be matched with a family to support with gifts from their holiday wish list.

Whether you participate on your own, with coworkers, or with family and friends, it’s a meaningful way to give back this holiday season.

It’s the last day to Give Aloha!

If you’re shopping at Foodland, Foodland Farms, or Sack N Save today, there’s still time to make a donation to Helping Hands Hawai‘i at checkout using organization code 77061.

Mahalo to Foodland and the Western Union Foundation for once again giving our community an opportunity to support Hawai‘i nonprofits through Give Aloha.

And a big mahalo to everyone who chose Helping Hands Hawai‘i this September. Every contribution helps us continue serving local individuals and families throughout the year.

Why Helping Hands Hawai‘i’s Representative Payee Services?

For Steve, it came down to knowing there are people he can count on.
After nearly 20 years with Helping Hands Hawai‘i, Steve has seen firsthand how our team works with other agencies, returns calls, and helps connect people with support when they need it.

In his words, “They go above and beyond.”
