We are excited to announce that the wait list for Kauhale I Ke Kula Uka (formerly Kaloko Heights) is now open.

This project in the heart of Kailua-Kona features 99 affordable family units, with 58 three-bedroom and 41 two-bedroom apartments.

The application period ends on August 12, 2024.

These units represent 99 of the 8,167 affordable housing units in our County’s pipeline.

It does snow in Hawaiʻi! What? Where? Yes, Mauna Kea of Hawaiʻi Island does have snow and lots of rain. In Volcano, HI it could get 39 degrees in the winter. Many of our residents live in rural areas and are off-grid. We are accepting new or gently used donated rain/ winter jackets, socks, rain boots, and beanies. Thank you for your gift to keep our keiki warm and dry!
