Meet Pam Cabrera, one of the newer members of our HSMAI Hawaiʻi board and our Co-VP of Education.

By day, Pam is Corporate Director of Military Affairs at Outrigger Hospitality Group, where she leads one of the most important and least-talked-about corners of Hawaiʻi’s visitor economy: caring for the military traveler, from R&R stays to change-of-station families. Her path at Outrigger has spanned sales and marketing and a chapter as a General Manager, and she holds a BA in Psychology from UH Mānoa.

As Co-VP of Education, she helps shape the panels and workshops that keep our members growing.

Karen is General Manager of Pacific Islands Institute, a Honolulu-based destination management and educational-travel company that designs cultural and sustainable journeys across Hawaiʻi and the Pacific, from service-learning programs to kupuna trips.

With more than 20 years in the industry and a quarter-century traveling the region, she’s a committed advocate for authentic, responsible travel, helping lead an operation recognized as a Certified Sustainable Tour Operator.

Please join us in welcoming Grace Dodier Fitzpatrick to HSMAI Hawaiʻi.

Grace is Director of Revenue Management & Distribution at Pacific Hospitality Group, and she brings an unusual path to the commercial side: years as a boutique-hotel general manager, leading properties like Brooklyn's Wythe Hotel and New York's The Moore, before moving into revenue and distribution.

With 16 years in hospitality across independent, design-forward brands and a graduate degree from the University of Glasgow, she sits comfortably at the intersection of operations and commercial strategy. She's also lived and worked in Hawaiʻi, so the islands are familiar ground.
