In response to the devastation following Hurricane Lala, we have launched an emergency voucher program to support Big Island residents in need of clothing or home goods; vouchers can be redeemed at any Goodwill store on island.
Impacted residents can register for a $100 Goodwill voucher per individual or up to $300 per family at any of the Hawaiʻi Island distribution sites listed below. The vouchers will be valid until November 30, 2026.
VOUCHER DISTRIBUTION SITES
Starting Thursday, August 20, vouchers will be distributed at the following Goodwill sites until supplies run out:
Goodwill Hawaii, Hawaii Island Community Learning Center (Hilo), Career Services Office

Voucher distribution hours: Weekdays only, 10 am to 1 pm (Vouchers can redeemed at any time during regular store hours, 10 am to 6 pm)
EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT SERVICES
Individuals who have been displaced from work due to the storm can contact us for help with the following services:
- Job training, education and placement support to find alternate employment options.
- Referrals or access to other available services and resources such as unemployment benefits, emergency financial aid, disaster assistance, food stamps, and housing relief.
