Hoʻomaikaʻi to the Class of 2026! Swipe thru to relive their graduation ceremony.

Graduates are stepping into a successful future with all heading onto an education or career pathway. They will be attending universities such as Michigan State, Oregon Tech, Pacific University, University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, University of Portland, and Washington State, or heading into a trade school, enlisting into the military or direct to work.

Mahalo to all our kumu, staff, parents, and extended community for supporting these students over the past four years.

We are still enrolling limited spots for the upcoming 2026-27 school year, grades 9-12. Interested parents can visit kcshawaii.org to submit an application.

“No mess wit da ʻāina” is the slogan for the community service group ʻĀina Keepers, comprising participants and staff from our Hilo Adults with Developmental Disabilities Services program. Over the past 25 years, they have been beautifying Hilo with beach cleanups, graffiti coverups, and other community focused activities.

A recent celebration of their 25th anniversary held at our new Hawaii Island Learning Center, honored participants from Goodwill Hawaii, the Hawaii Police Department, and founder Taj Gunter.

Special thanks to Senator Lorraine Inouye for providing remarks, KTA Super Stores for their generous donation of lunch platters, as well as the Goodwill staff and HPD for making this event possible.

We’re always proud to support other local nonprofits like the American Lung Association (ALA). They recently hosted their annual fundraising event the Breath of Motherhood Awards, where we supplied 250 pairs of women’s shoes to be used for a display representing the Hawai’i women who have passed away from lung cancer in the past year.

Goodwill participants and staff recently walked a 4.5-mile course from Magic Island through the heart of Waikīkī. The effort was part of the 47th Annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk, helping to raise funds for our Adults with Disabilities program where we help participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities build independence, develop job and life skills, and strengthen their community connections.

This past week, students at the University of Hawaii at Manoa were busy moving out of their dorms and our donation attendants were on site to collect items and alleviate some stress. Through this partnership, we collected more than 28,000 pounds of donations, helping to divert unnecessary waste from Oʻahu landfills.
