Proud to launch Member Spotlight, a new HEC video series that shines a light on the notable accomplishments of our members across Hawaiʻi.

Our first feature recognizes three outstanding HEC member firms — Hensel Phelps, Yogi-Kwong Engineers, and SJ Construction Consulting — for their critical roles in completing Phase 1 of the Sand Island Wastewater Treatment Plant Secondary Treatment project.

Built and delivered with state-of-the-art Membrane Bioreactor technology, this upgrade means cleaner effluent, far fewer particles reaching our ocean, and stronger protection for Oʻahu’s beaches, reefs, and public health. The facility processes tens of millions of gallons daily and keeps the city on track with its long-term environmental commitments.

Mahalo to Hensel Phelps, Yogi-Kwong Engineers, SJ Construction Consulting, and the entire project team!
