Elevatehp: Young Professionals Our mission is to CONNECT, ENGAGE & LEAD High Point's young professionals to meaningful connections, personal growth, and professional development.

We provide networking and community service opportunities, as well as workshops and seminars. We’re tired of hearing there are no young professionals in High Point, so we’re getting together for happy hour a few times each month. Invite your friends and co-workers, and be on the lookout for the time and place for the next ones.

Meet Daniel Mace! 👋

Daniel is the Founder of Common Identity and a ElevateHP committee member.

Since moving to High Point, he’s been intentional about getting connected, building relationships, and learning the local business landscape. 🤝

Through ElevateHP and the BHP Chamber, Daniel has connected with local business leaders and fellow young professionals while getting to know his new community.

His advice for young professionals?
“Attend a few City Council meetings!” 🏛️

For Daniel, it’s been a great way to learn about High Point’s civic priorities, community needs, and what’s ahead for the city.

He’s especially excited about downtown investment, including the Greenway extension and new public spaces near Stock + Grain.

And what does he love about High Point?
🚪 The giant chest of drawers
🌭 The Dog House on Main Street
🤝 The tight-knit, welcoming community

Meet Daniel Nance, Director of Donor Relations at Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Triad! 👋

Being involved with Elevate HP and Business High Point has shown Daniel what can be accomplished when people come together with a shared purpose. It’s connected him with incredible leaders, organizations, and opportunities while helping him grow both personally and professionally.

Daniel is excited about the momentum behind our city and the opportunities ahead.

Daniel’s advice on getting involved?
“I used to think opportunities were something you found. I’ve learned they’re often something that finds you when you’re involved in your community. The relationships you build don’t just create opportunities for you; they allow you to connect others with people, organizations, and resources that can change lives.”

Meet Kayla Quick, Tourism Events Manager at Visit High Point!

For Kayla, being involved with ElevateHP has been about more than getting involved — it’s about finding community. Connecting with other young professionals has helped her know she’s not alone and that others are going through similar points of life.

What does Kayla love most about High Point? 💜
The people. She loves the nonprofits and how they step in for the community for whatever they need. For Kayla, “High Point is a community that you can't find anywhere else.”

What keeps her connected?
The connections she’s made and the impact they’re able to make on the community.

Her advice for young professionals?
“Most young professionals are nervous to meet each other so it's better to just go for it and make a new friend rather than being afraid!”

One of the best parts of ElevateHP for Haley? The people.

“ElevateHP has helped me connect with other young professionals and engage with the local community in ways that are different from my day-to-day work.”

Haley’s role at the United Way of Greater High Point is what brought her to High Point. What keeps her here? “The incredible people I have the opportunity to meet and the exciting growth happening throughout the city.”

Her favorite thing about High Point? “Its local businesses and how friendly and supportive the community is.” 🏙️

Her advice to other young professionals looking to get involved?
“Do not be afraid to put yourself out there, attend events, and network. There is space for you.”
