In memory of Peter Zippi, a young man dedicated to the care of animals, The Peter Zippi Fund Memorial Fund was founded in 1977 by Dr. Alice Villalobos. We have helped over 20,000 pets (mostly cats) since then. The Fund is run by wonderful volunteers who work tirelessly to help those who can't help themselves. We are focused on both animal rescue and spay/neuter assistance. We rescue abandoned cats

& kittens as well as those that have special needs. We provide them the care they need to be ready for adoption and then find them a new loving home. We also provide assistance for spaying or neutering of domestic and community (i.e. feral) cats, dogs and other animals.

✨ Marble & Oscar ✨

These two are one of those reminders that taking a chance can be worth it.

When Marble and Oscar first came into our care, they weren’t sure what to think about people. We gave them time, consistency, and room to move at their own pace.

And slowly… they opened up.

Marble started approaching for pets.
Oscar started seeking attention and leaning into head scritches.
Together they became braver.

They still share a special bond and continue helping each other grow, but seeing their personalities emerge has been one of the most rewarding parts of their rescue.

Energetic, playful, and full of personality, Sage is the kind of kitten who makes sure there’s never a dull moment. He’s confident, curious, and always ready to turn everyday life into an adventure.

Sage is a typical kitten who loves to zoom, wrestle with furry friends, chat with his people, and make a game out of just about anything. He settled into shelter life quickly and has already shown us what his first fosters described so well… he’s outgoing, entertaining, and eager to connect.

Sage loves meeting people and has been respectful and curious while getting to know our resident cats. Right now, he’s spending his days trying to find the purrfect playmate in his assigned community room.

Because Sage still has plenty of kitten energy, we think he’d thrive in a home with another cat who enjoys running, jumping, and all the fun that comes with being young.

If you’re looking for an active, engaging kitten with a handsome face and plenty to say, Sage may be your guy. 💙

Our newest little addition came to us through our friends at , who work tirelessly in our community helping cats and kittens in need.

Clove still has a lot of growing to do, and we’re so grateful to have a foster stepping in to give her the all time, care, and cozy blankets she deserves.

Goose is curious, playful, and just the right mix of sweet and silly.

He’s been steadily building confidence and enjoys pets, ear rubs, and interactive play. Whether it's investigating his surroundings, chasing toys, or “helping” with whatever you’re doing... Goose is the kind of cat that likes to be involved.

When adjusting to new environments, he prefers to take it slow and will open up a little more each day.

Goose would do wonderfully in a home looking for a playful kitten, while he would love a feline friends he's also old enough to be your one and only.

Remember our shy little Mr. Gray? 🩶

These days he goes by Shadow, and we’re so happy to share that he’s settling beautifully into life with his loving and patient adopter.

He has been loved by many people along the way, but seeing him comfortable and happy in his own home is the part we love most. 🥰

Her latest update made us smile:

Shadow is affectionate, loves scratches and pets, enjoys being brushed and combed, and has even found his voice when he wants something.

One of our favorite parts? Up until a few weeks ago he was still nervous when approached, but now she can walk by him with no problem… and at the time of her update, he was asleep on the bed right next to her.

These kinds of adoptions don’t happen overnight. They’re made possible by patient adopters and by all of the socialization, care, and encouragement our volunteers give cats like Gray while they’re with us.

Thank you for helping cats build confidence one small step at a time.
